Asset Mapping

With designer Nick Bell, Clapton Commons has been working with local residents and businesses to create an Asset Map for the three local wards – Cazenove, Springfield and Lea Bridge.

A “community asset” is anything that makes a positive contribution to our experience of living or working here and can include neighbours and groups or places and landmarks or even stories and bits of local history. Events may also be community assets. It may be that the person we say hello to every morning at the bus stop is a community asset.

Through small workshops, local residents are meeting each other and sharing what they know about the area. Through these workshops, and the resulting map, we are creating a resource which we hope will lead to further connections and collaborative action.

How can I get involved?

If you have a story to tell about the area and would like to take part in the project then please let us know.
